CASE WESTERN RESERVE UNIVERSITY RESIDENCE HALL
CLEVELAND, OHIO
Supply and installation of structural steel frame (580 Tons), precast hollow core plank (126,000 sq. ft.) and miscellaneous metals for the 5 story student housing project. Project consisted of supplying detail drawings and connection design for the Girder-Slab (G-S) system, an integrated precast hollow core plank and steel framing design, which was utilized to maintain the low floor to floor heights required for the facility. This is the first structure in the area to utilize the innovative Girder-Slab system. Structural steel framing included columns, beams, moment frames, specialized G-S D-beams, galvanized tube steel mechanical screening and brick relief angle on all elevations. Miscellaneous metals work was comprised of multiple egress stairs and railing, interior railing, canopy support steel and roof davits.

Addition included a one bay building and overhead crane runway extension to an existing building with an overall height of 120’. FCE’s scope included furnishing and installing 150 tons of structural steel with truss work, miscellaneous metals, metal siding and roof deck.

Erect 1,735 tons of structural steel, metal deck, shear studs, elevator support steel and stairs for the new 8 story bed tower addition to the existing Family Health Center, including the tie in link to the existing facility and associated interior reinforcing. FCE also provided all temporary stair access, cranes, personnel and material hoists and operators.

Demolition of the existing North and South end zone existing displays and mechanical equipment followed by structural modifications and installation of larger video boards (4,680 sf each) and louvers at both ends of the stadium. The North end zone work included additional support steel for the new radius video board, added catwalk levels, signage, louvers and rolling davit system. The South end zone structural work included a new catwalk level, reinforcing of the existing structure, louver and signage support and installation of the new flagpole. Also included was removal and replacement of existing speakers and installation of siding, shrouds and closures to provide a finished product.

Structural Alterations
Structural reinforcing of existing and new installation of approximately 2,000 tons of steel for the East and West end zone modifications to provide structure and access for new scoreboard displays and new public areas. Work also included installation of four large exterior escalator box trusses, catwalk grating, access ladders and three stair locations with associated handrail.
Video Boards
Rigging and installation of the primary video displays for the new East and West end zone modifications (7,640 sf each) and demolitions of the existing and installation of new fascia displays for the upper and lower bowls (total 1,300 lf). Work also included installation of an exterior display at the East end zone, three sponsor deck displays, two game clocks and two play clocks. Mounting clip material for the fascia displays was also provided.

Erection of 1,300 tons of steel and installation of metal deck and shear studs on a six story hotel podium building with a penthouse pop up roof using multiple cranes which included ten 120’ long floor and roof trusses for the ballroom that were sub-assembled on site and set in full lengths. Forest City Erectors is also completing all miscellaneous metals as a prime contractor which includes all stairs, handrail, elevator steel as well as exterior canopies, porch framing, cornice and top of tower penthouse steel framing.

Erect structural steel and metal deck on a 2,300 ton 22 story office building structure with tie-ins to two individual concrete cores including all elevator steel. Also included in scope were miscellaneous metals including stairs and handrails and an ornamental entrance canopy.

The project consisted of moving an existing bridge to allow for the installation of a new head house for the trains. FCE’s scope included structural steel for the head house, reinforcing of the relocated bridge, miscellaneous metals and ornamental metals. The most notable feature is the stainless steel panels that arch in different directions with different radii making for an intricate and complicated installation.

PARKSIDE CHURCH ADDITIONS AND INTERIOR RENOVATION
CHAGRIN FALLS, OHIO
Supply and installation of structural steel, miscellaneous metals and ornamental glass and railing for new Children’s Wing (33,000 sq. ft.), Fellowship Hall (4,000 sq. ft.) and interior renovation of Existing Sanctuary. Work included all drawings, connection design, material supply and installation labor and equipment. The Monumental Stair and ornamental glass and railing is one of the focal points of the Children’s Wing work. Another feature was the porte-cochere on the North end of the new wing. The renovations to the Existing Sanctuary included additions to and modifications of the existing suspended theatrical catwalks along with other architectural modifications. Arial photo shows new Children’s Wing in the foreground at East side of the building with the new Fellowship Hall is on the opposite side.

METROHEALTH MEDICAL HEALTH CENTER
brecksville, OHIO
Supply and installation of structural steel (500 Tons), metal deck and egress stairs & hand railing for the two story medical facility. Project consisted of supplying detail drawings and connection design for all structural steel components including clearstory tube steel atrium. This 84,000 sq. ft. project was constructed in two phases in order to accommodate follow-on trades’ work and facilitate the project schedule; main framing core steel and metal decking of building first, followed by the secondary framing members around the perimeter.
